Sen. Nofs reacts to State of the State address

LANSING, Mich. – State Sen. Mike Nofs, R-Battle Creek, issued the following statement on Tuesday, in response to Gov. Rick Snyder’s 2016 State of the State address:

“In a sign of how important the Flint water crisis is, the governor devoted much of his speech tonight to the people of Flint. We should consider the people of Flint as family and I will do whatever I can to immediately support an aggressive strategy to ensure that clean water is available to everyone who utilizes the city water system. I am encouraged by the governor’s sincerity and commitment to both funding and working with local leaders to continue toward a successful resolution.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues and the governor’s administration to finding a solution to this crisis and to make sure that this type of problem does not happen in Michigan again.”
